I still don’t get why this made people so angry tho. I mean, it’s indeed a ridicolous revelation to pull out her ass after a decade or so, but it’s not like we never saw a human changed into an animal in Harry Potter. Please, I’m not a potterhead, so will you explain me?
People feel that it was retconning and a very cheap attempt at including representation. Everyone knows that JKR has become obsessed with trying to inject rep into her story even considering the time period when HP was made, it had good rep already.
See I’d understand if Warner Bros were the first people to come up with the snake is a woman theory, but I’m telling you that it’s been a fan theory for years and years in the same fandom that’s now upset and throwing a fit about it. It’s just nitpicking with no leg to stand on whatsoever.
